EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR WALL FINISHES of earthbag structures are open to many options appropriate for the climate and purpose of the building. Wall plasters range from natural, earthen adobe plaster applied directly to the surface of the bags (yes, it sticks without chicken wire!), or an earthen plaster followed by a traditional lime/sand plaster for added weather protection. In some situations (depending on type of soil used in the bags and climate conditions), conventional cement based stucco over chicken wire may be the ticket.
