Industrial polypropylene bags for earthbag building
woven polypropylene feed sacks come in tubes

THE BAGS we use for earthbag building are mostly 50lb and 100lb woven polypropylene feed sacks. We also use woven polypropylene tubes for long stretches of wall and for coiling the roof of a corbelled earthbag dome, much like a hand-built clay pot. Tubes are what manufacturers produce to make bags from, prior to the cut and sew process. Common wall widths range from 14 inches to 20 inches. Burlap bags are also available.
